Ok so this Tuesday we flew to Arizona as a family to see our family members there. (THANK HEAVENS JAMES WAS WITH ME on this flight). Taylor is what I would call a fairly "experienced" flyer because he was on 23 airplanes while in my belly :) wink wink, and has been on 6 in the first year of his life...this flight was his 7th. It's only an hour and 15 min. flight but just after take off he was being EXTRA fussy. Didn't want his binky, or juice, or milk , or to sit, or stand or lay, kept fighting everything and about 15 min. into the flight Taylor was on James lap, facing me (Another blessing....I guess) and Taylor threw up. (NO WONDER HE WAS SO UPSET EARLIER) poor bug didn't feel well. I was not expecting this at all and sat SHOCKED, while he threw up again, and again and again. Honestly I was scared because I didn't think it was a good thing that THAT much ....... stuff was coming out of his little body. I did not even CARE that I was being thrown up on. The interesting thing is that before I had Taylor I said that I would be able to handle anything as a mother EXCEPT Blood or throw up and now I have dealt with both, marvelously....HEAVEN REALLY HELPS US step in and play our mom roles, I know it. Needless to say the man next to James got up and moved to a diff. seat and so did the lady in front of him. Another blessing is that we were in the last row and could get up and clean up in the bathroom easily. After this whole tramatizing moments in life, Taylor was fine and giggling and back to his old self.
So this story poses a BIG IMPORTANT QUESTION??? DO AIRLINES CLEAN, I MEAN CLEAN...CLEAN THEIR SEATS EVERY NOW AND AGAIN? MAN< I HOPE SO >. Anyone know?
Small PS. about Taylor. He took his first steps in Arizona. Is not walking yet but I am sure it's coming soon. It's very exciting. Some things have changed in the last week with Taylor though. Anyone that knows him knows that for the most part, THIS KID DOES NOT CRY...he is VERY even mannered and so sweet and just overall a VERY EASY BABY. Well I think now that he has turned one it's time to test mom and dad. Just in the last week he started with a little shriek and screaming when he is mad and wants something. IT IS NOT THE TAYLOR we've known for a year. I think we are entering a VERY SCARY Chapter of his life. :) haha Please NO Terrible two's early. We'll see. Also he has taken a small interest in sucking his thumb/fingers. He also has NEVER done this...so I am trying to stop that habit before he creates it at age one. I'd rather stick to one bad habit to break later....the binky. WISH ME LUCK. Anyone else w/ kids ever hear that TEMPERS start flaring around 1???

Taking the time...
One of our Sunday School teachers does such a great job and taking the time to think about and ponder our lessons, they are SO GOOD and you get so much out of them. Here are some thoughts from last week.
We talked about Saints today and the trials we are faced with since Stan is working overtime these days.
"Satan doesn't disguise his fiery darts in ugly wrapping paper." ISN'T That the truth.
Someone pointed out the show "Friends" now I know we all watched and LOVE friends but here's just a thought to think about: It is Written well, it is FUNNY all the stars are very attractive people, its story lines go against everything we believe in. But we rationalize beyond belief because maybe there is one underlying point that is good. Think about the above quote about Satan when you think about watching some of these shows ( I AM SO GUILTY )--- just a thought. Maybe we can all be a little better in the future.
Things we are battling today: Work/Life (the fact that it takes so much time that we are away from quality family time. Clothing Styles, Music (this is a BIG ONE), TV/Entertainment/Computer (we all know the evil there), Blessings (to describe this one he talked about the fact that not ALWAYS but a lot of the times when we are BLESSED with all we need; we don't rely on the Lord as much so maybe we are not on our knees as much as we should be. Good point. The Author of all this evil is Satan. When we talk about the Battle in heaven.... that means that actively there is 1/3 of the host of heaven HELPING SATAN. He has so many on his side actively persuing our downfall. But that also means we have 2/3 of the host of heaven HELPING US and pulling for us to be protected and make the right choices..... The Holy Ghost is spirit to spirit and is far stronger then Satan if we allow it.
I thought that was an interesting thought because when I think of the War in Heaven I think of before/ then but not NOW/CURRENTLY. But it absolutly is a battle now, today.... they are fighting against each other to see who will come out in the end.
Have a great day and Do something great today :)

Tire Swing.
What's In A Name?
Since my blog is do something great.blogspot I have decided that I need to get back to my ORIGINAL blog plan. Not that I've been that far off just haven't been complete. What I mean is that I want my blog to have things that are MOST important to me on here. That would include The Church, Family, Friends and other Odd things I get caught up in that I'm passionate about. So... with that said I will try to be more faithful with adding my church insights on here as I used to do.
Tonight I was blessed with the opportunity to go to the Relief Society meeting with my mother in law and sister in law Anne. This is a treat twice a year that I never miss out on. Each time I feel re-newed, uplifted, appreciated and determined to be a better woman of the Gospel. Here are my notes from tonight meeting. It would be worth your time to read if you did not have the opportunity to attend tonight.
Sister Julie B. Beck RS Pres: How do we stand strong and immovable in faith, family and relief?
1. Faith- we need to EXCELL as women at ensuring our testimony, keeping our covenants, temple attendance, daily scripture study, FHE, prayer and self reliance.
2. Family- We need to uphold, nourish, defend and protect our families and what they stand for. Embrace the priesthood, maintain strong marriages, Defend the roles of women and of strong families and delight in our role: GETTING MARRIED, HAVING CHILDREN and TEACHING OUR CHILDREN
3. Relief- means to lift up to and to lighten. Who needs your help???? JUST ASK!
Sister Silvia Allred- 1st coun. RS Pres: The two roles we have as RS Sisters are to 1. Relieve the poor and 2. Save Souls. We are called upon to "feed his sheep"
one wonderful way we can do this is by Visiting Teaching. When we VT we support, comfort and build strong friendships. We can then learn of the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of our sisters. We creat love, friendship and trust. Do your visiting teaching it is SO IMPORTANT (I have a whole lesson on this that I personally gave in RS in Georgia....I feel very passionatly about being reliable and outgoing and putting yourself out there for the sake of the sisters you are called to teach). It's an important calling from our Heavenly Father. Don't be flaky...give it your all. There will be mounds of blessings in it.
Sister Barbara Thompson- 2nd coun.: What is happening to family? Satan is attacking so harshly and we need to abandon the belief to go along with the world. Satan is the great discourager.
What is the difference between a STABLE and DYSFUNCTIONAL family? A stable family knows who they are, where they are going and what they want to achieve. They teach by example.
Keep in mind.
*Children are precious, tell them you love them, express kind words, teach them to pray. Read to them, have FHE. Know the family proclamation. with kids comes much needed patience.....so if you need to put yourself in time out to cool down, it's ok.
The Savior is there to provide relief to the family. In Isaiah 41:10,13,14 it reads:
10 ¶ aFear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness 13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
14 Fear not, thou aworm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the bLord, and thy credeemer, the dHoly One of Israel
Thomas S. Monson: 1. Study Dilligently. Seek learning. Search the scriptures to help your testimony.2 Timothy 1:7-8-- 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of afear; but of bpower, and of clove, and of a sound mind.
8 Be not thou therefore aashamed of the btestimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
(did you know a study was done that shows the avg. kid watched 4 hrs of TV a day and movies and video games are on top of that....scary)
Be Prepared to Provide.
2. PRAY always. Prayers heeds off temptation. Teach by word and example. DO NOT PRAY FOR ABILITIES TO EQUAL YOUR TASKS. PRAY FOR TASKS TO EQUAL YOUR ABILITIES.
3. Serve Willingly. Charity never faileth. Do small things often. including VT.
Hope those where somewhat uplifting and challenging to us all.
LOVE YOU all. xoxo

So easy to love Edward
Ok so I'm home from Georgia now and not even all the way unpacked but my dearest friend Mckenna bought me Twilight for my birthday and New Moon (series that everyone is talking about ) well I have Taylor who is a hand full and a house to put together and have only sat down two days to read it (the first day was only one chapter) and as of today I am almost 400 pages in. I CAN'T PUT IT DOWN. The funny thing is , is I don't think it's this AMAZING plot and crazy chapter endings that just keep you on edge but the way it is written I can't stop reading.... it's almost like I know how she feels a lil' I think at one time or another in HS. all of us have felt that new love, exciting, would do anything for it...longed for it...type of feeling? And maybe that is what draws us all in to this book so deeply. Needless to say, I'm hooked and I'm going to STOP BLOGGING now so I can continue READING.
Last night I told myself I would read until 10 then I looked and it was 10:05 and I said oh, just tell 10:30 when I looked up it was 10:29 and I thought, YES I BEAT THE CLOCK- I getta keep reading. haha.

Hello!
ONLY TEN DAYS UNTIL WE FLY HOME.........WOW I can't believe it. As excited as I am to see everyone that we love and miss, I gotta be honest- a small part of me is feeling sad to leave this beautiful area and all the fun memeories we have had in such a short period of time. I feel blessed to have been able to spend our summer here in the South. I Love it!
The following pics are mostly from the Coke factory while Whitty was here and the Whistle Stop cafe (Fried Green tomatoes was filmed there) LOVE the BBQ sandwitch- THE SECRETS IN THE SAUCE. The stone pic is the grave sight of Frank Bennett.
Deathly Hallows Down
I finished the longest book I have ever read in my LIFE yesterday and it was a rewarding and sad moment. It's really not THAT long and it's such easy reading but Harry Potter was GREAT in my opinion. I feel like J.K. Rowling really did a great job at explaining the loop holes in the other books and the ending was nice. I couldn't believe that when the time came to kill off characters, how fast it happened. In one sentence it was done. Don't worry I didn't cry (I know you think I did) but..... I am sad for it to be over. On to my next adventure of a book "I don't know how she does it". For those of you that have not read Harry Potter, Deathly Hallows, I would recommend picking it up soon. :) Heres the link to the book: http://www.amazon.com/Harry-Potter-Deathly-Hallows-Book/dp/0545010225/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-2491175-0495257?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1187788899&sr=8-1

Sky Dive Atlanta
Don't worry it wasn't us that jumped out of a plane. Taylor and I went with our friends that did though to watch. It was a lot of waiting around for the first jumpers to get back but all in all I am glad I went and got to see up close how that all goes down. I actually felt like I would have done it (If I wasn't married to the most wonderful man and had the sweetest baby boy EVER) :) :) so probably not for me in this lifetime.... ! (ps taylor did not exceed the weight limit) :)

Savannah and Six Flags
Well a group of us went to Savvanah this weekend and ate at the great Paula Deens resturant. The food was amazing, Chicken, creamed corn, pancakes, garlic rolls, black eyed peas (ps. those are GOOD), salads, peach cobbler, potatoes and gravy. MMM! I really enjoyed myself. Then we walked around and looked at all the little shops in Savvanah then hit the beach. I had never before PLAYED in the Atlantic Ocean, I loved it a lot. It was sooo warm (MUST warmer then the Pacific. The next day a different group of us went to six flags (James' car group won 2nd place and that was the prize) we had fun. I am still recovering though. The first roller coaster we went on was like the white one at Lagoon but....WAY MORE INTENSE and sooooo jerky. It BEAT us up. I am using a heat pack today it's still that bad. Then we went on two more WAY INTENSE Roller coasters and I was pretty much done for the day (or my stomach was) One of them went 70 MPH, dropped over 175 ft, in the first drop but over 400 ft. total and coverend 8.4 acres of land. WHOA. I rented a wheel chair that day for my foot :) that was cool. I also rode the river water ride 3 times and was SOAKED but... I wanted to stay on that ride cuz I was done w/ the coasters. Six flags had soo much to do, I never knew it was so intense. I have decided though as much fun as it was...I think I'm more of a Disney land ride kind of gal :)

NEED TO KNOW HOW...
How do you post video on here? I am going to see if this works, if not...anyone know how? Here are the latest pics of Taylor playing (his balloon flew into the toilet, don't worry I threw it away and blew him up a new one) and cleaned him all up. Also some pics of the night Ali proposed to Amanda, so sweet.

HARRY POTTER HERE I COME
I feel like I am way behind the times on this one. James even went out at midnight to get it for me and he is more then half way through this book and I'm just getting started (I would not allow myself to start until I had completed one of my original summer reading thingy books) so..... HERE I GO! http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&endeca=1&isbn=0545010225&kids=y&itm=1
SUPERNANNY-IZED
I have completed readingy my Supernanny book by Jo Frost.
http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9781401308100&itm=1 I would say... I will review it in years to come because it does spend a lot of time on "toddler/kid" issues that I am not yet dealing with. Overall it's a quick easy read but not necisarily my favorite book (but did have good ideas) I like her routines and naughty bench approach to discipline. Now I am going to be adding Harry Potter to my reading list and taking off "YOU on a diet" FOR NOW!
Yesterday I was given devastating news......I can't work out for at least a month. Long story short is that I have been VERY active with Tennis this summer (and dance dance revolution) and I have Planters Fasceitous (Sp?) in my right foot. I am now in a large, heavy hot boot cast and have to do physical therapy 2-3 x a week. NOT COOL. I am supposed to be working on my "beach body" for Mexico in Nov. My girlfriends out here brought me "Half Baked" my FAVORITE Ice Cream yesterday. Just what I need when I can't work it off huh. Owell. That's the latest and it stinks (I have to wear a different boot at night, I only lasted a couple hrs. last night and it was too painful so I took it off). Wish me luck.

Taylor is almost 10 months and what's been going on...
So much has happened in two weeks. Taylor is up and about more then ever and his favorite thing to do is chase his beach ball or a balloon. He has ventured in to the pots and pans and LOVES the bathroom- gross, I try to keep him out of there...he likes the scale because it lights up with red lights. :) Maybe he's already getting a complex because EVERYONE from here, when they see him say "What a BIG Baby, whoa". I think he's perfect. Check out his moppy messy brown hair, I think it might be going curly- so cute. He LOVES to climb on his daddy's x box so we have moved that (since he did pee on the floor very close to it, that would have been bad if he fried it up....not cheap).
What else- Last Sunday we had an office bbq and we made a huge box that said "Happy Birthday Ali" (he was leaving the following week) and long story short, lots of people pitched in and bought Amanda Peterson a plane ticket out here and she was hiding behind the box as Ali's surprise...he was SHOCKED and so happy. All the girls shed a tear. :) Then my mom had brought out the wedding ring and so me and some of the office girls set up a candelit dinner w/ take out (souther food) by the pool and Monday night as a family and close friends of Ali's we had dinner and he proposed to Amanda. The ring looks AMAZING on her finger. It's gorgeous- they are such a sweet couple. Taylor is glad to have an Aunt Amanda. :) Then last night I (along w/ Jenice) put together a surprise pizza party to celebrate James turning 28. We ate cobblestone pizza and had a fun time. So needless to say it's been a week of surprises and lots of fun.
Oh Ps. Greatest movie ever- HAIRSPRAY, you have to see it, I've seen it 2x and I am so happy afterwards, the music rocks and I JUST LOVE IT. :) also loved Shrek 3, Transformers and Harry Potter...this summer is a great summer of great movies.
